Jonathan Elkhouri began his career in hairstyling at the age of 18 as a shampoo technician and worked his way up to assistant. He studied under Antoine Chahine through an apprenticeship program and became a stylist after completing the apprenticeship program. Through client referrals, Jonathan's popularity grew, so much that in 2005, he decided it was time to open his own salon.

Jonathan, a stylist to several Washington DC celebrities, is master color certified through Wella, having attended numerous courses at the Wella Studio in New York. Jonathan has also studied with Nick Arrojo of TLC's What Not To Wear. He specializes in corrective color and enjoys transforming clients through color and precision cuts. He enjoys working with both the scissor and razor to achieve a wide range of styles from classic to conservative to trendy. Jonathan's philosophy is that each hair style should be based on the client's hair texture, features, and lifestyle. Through detailed analysis, getting to know the client, and consultation, Jonathan works up an individual style for each and every client.

Since having been trained through an internship program himself, Jonathan strongly believes in the power of teaching and training a new generation of stylists and therefore has put in place a top notch internship program at Salon Khouri, using hands on training as well
as scheduling in-salon classes for all stylists and interns.

Jennifer Elkhouri began her career in IT in 1994, designing websites and helping clients migrate business process from paper to custom, technical solutions. Jennifer, a problem solver by nature, enjoys process engineering and using technology to help teams become more efficient.

Jennifer also is an entrepreneur at heart. Since a young girl, Jennifer always wanted to own her own business. Fascinated with entrepreneurship, she took a job with a non-profit in her early twenties called the Young Entrepreneurs’ Organization, where she acted as their Technology Manager. One of Jennifer’s favorite aspects of the job was attending YEO member events, where Jennifer could meet and talk to various industry leaders, listening to their methodologies and best practices, all the while filing nuggets in the back of her mind.

In 1996, Jennifer scheduled an appointment at a hair salon at the urging of a good friend. It happened to be the salon where Jonathan was working as an intern. The two like to joke that it was “love at first clip.” While Jennifer continued her career in IT, Jonathan strengthened his skills as a stylist. It wasn’t long after that the two began talking about opening their own salon. In 2004, the two incorporated Salon Khouri, and in 2005, Jonathan and Jennifer opened the doors to Salon Khouri in Fairfax, Virginia. After ten years of fine tuning operations, the two felt ready to open a second location and did so in July of 2015 in Loudoun County at the Dulles Landing Shopping Center.

Jennifer loves setting strategic vision for the salon, and through Jonathan’s excellent leadership skills, that vision is incorporated into the day-to-day operations of the salon. Additionally, Jennifer manages the salon finances, marketing efforts, and the community outreach efforts of the salon, about which Jennifer is absolutely passionate. Jennifer loves people and feels called to help — it’s what "makes my heart sing," Jennifer proclaims.

Jennifer and Jonathan live in Northern Virginia with their three children and crazy dog. Jennifer loves reading books on theology, business strategy, and marketing. She is an outspoken advocate for Childhood Cancer and won’t stop #UntilChildhoodCancerIsExtinct. Jennifer also serves as the Advancement Chair on the Board of Trustees for Ad Fontes Academy.
